So a little while ago, thanks to a leak there was a rumor that more animated Fullmetal Alchemist would be forthcoming.
Apparently the leak was correct according to this article from AnimeNewsNework New FMA
So on the one hand, I’m ecstatic, since I absolutely adored this show, its up there as one of the best animes I think I’ve ever seen. As long as they can keep the quality of the first one, things should be great.
Plus what is it going to focus on? I mean as we left it, Ed and Al were no longer in their world?
I can’t wait for more details, man I hope they don’t screw this up.
Hmm wonder if that means the leak was also right about more Darker Than Black…

I’m loving what I’m reading.
Full Metal Alchemist<3
I’ve already read the manga, so when I watched the anime I didn’t really like it (that’s kinda the way I am, if I already know the source material then there’s little chance of me liking an adaption. Though ef and clannad, and mai otome are exceptions). But, good news nevertheless.
Hah, so basically Bones admitted that their own writers sucked donkey’s ass ?
Manga continuity is fine, but i’m already imagining the WTF-ing of first show’s fanboys who wont understand what happened and why everything is so different (i.e. better than before).
Honestly, the second half of the first show had just incoherent babbling for a story.
@ Royalty, I hear ya! ^-^
Now if only we can get Kyoto animation to take on more Full Metal Panic, I’d truly be a happy girl… plus since they were the studio that brought us InuYasha and there has been talk of more of that! I’d be in heaven!
But since they announced their next key project as Tonari I doubt I’ll get news that will make me happy soon. Still I be checking out Tonari since I like a lot of their work. Maybe one work on Haruhi 2 is completed I’ll get my FMP.
@ Choux, maybe its because I watched the anime before the manga, but even after having read the manga, I still enjoyed the anime. I thought they adapted it pretty well and considering the manga didn’t have an ending, came up with a pretty decent conclusion of their own, it flowed nicely into the OAV.
@karry, LOL! Yeah, I imagine there are some who’ll be WTH? But I agree going with the manga continuity can only be a win in my book. As for the incoherent babbling, considering there was no conclusion to the manga I understand why they went off on their own tangent and diverged.
I’m okay with FMA, isn’t one of my favorites. But i’m looking forward to seeing Mustang again~
Ahh Mustang, you just can’t help but love the man
Particularly when he’s trying to piss Ed off on purpose!
