Hey grown-up Naruto is gonna look really cute!
So this week we get to see the story that came from Jiraiya’s heart. The main character looks a lot like a grown up Naruto might without his facial whiskers. In it, the ninja goes up against an enemy who wants him to give up, because they always want you to fight the more right?
Hmm something is missing from that page, oh I know, BELIEVE IT! Oh c’mon, don’t give me that look, you all knew that one was coming!
You know its a good read when you cry… Or maybe you just cry because its that bad.
But of course he won’t back down, telling the enemy that in the world where ninja’s fight he will break that curse and find peace, he won’t give up. Just as we are about to learn his name though, the image shifts to Naruto as he cries reading the book.
Jiraiya’s thinking of Orochimaru’s fashion sense.
Looking at the author picture of Jiraiya he is reminded of a talk they had, when he had accused Jiriaya of not knowing how he felt in regards to Sasuke. He then asked why Orochimaru had left the village.
He tells Naruto that Orochimaru started to act strange once his parents died and after their deaths he became obsessed with forbidden techniques. He blamed the village for their deaths and like Sasuke and Naruto had told Jiraiya he didn’t understand him.

Jiraiya said that maybe Orochimaru was right, maybe he didn’t understand him. But one thing he could tell is that hatred was spreading. He told Naruto that he didn’t know what, but he wanted to do something about it. But he says he believes that one-day people will one day truly understand one another. And he had told Naruto that if he couldn’t find the answer then it was up to him.
Naruto had scratched his head and told Jiraiya that if that is what he wanted then he couldn’t refuse. Jiraiya had laughed and told Naruto that he felt his answer was his salvation and that he was glad he took Naruto on as his apprentice.
But then he said he hadn’t given up yet and that his books would change the world. Given the nature of the books Naruto looked dubious but as his recollection of the memory comes to an end he is smiling not crying.
Sasuke thinks about revenge for a change…
Back at the Akatsuki lair, Sasuke brings the captured Hachibi before Madara and then goes to leave. He tells Madara that once they heal their wounds they will head to Konoha.
But first Madara wants to know if he had thought about following in Itachi’s footsteps. Sasuke goes on to spin Madera a fat load of B.S about how he can’t assume Itachi’s role and he never asked him to sacrifice himself for peace. He says there is no way he can do as he wished and protect Konoha since he sees the villagers as accomplices who traded the peace they enjoy for Itachi’s life.
Madara is shocked and wonders aloud if he will not stop at just killing the elders. Sasuke says no he wants to kill the entire village, he only said he wanted to kill just the elders because his team were there.
Madara wonders if Sasuke is serious and so Sasuke tells Madara that he had said Itachi valued his life above the village. So its simple, he values Itachi’s life above theirs, calling them nothing but a pile of shit! He tells Madara he wants revenge on them all and that he can go ahead and think of him as a little kid if he wants.
He tells Madara that saying he should follow in his brothers footsteps are nothing but pretty words that are nonsense for people who know nothing of hatred. He says that if anyone wants to deny his way of living he’ll kill anyone they ever cared about and then maybe they will understand a little of his hatred as his Mangekyo flares up.
Madara looks at him and thinks when one loves there is the chance of hate.
The chapter ends with the Raikage finding out his brother has been captured and of course he doesn’t look too happy about it.
I know, tell me about it.. Why does the Akatsuki has to get their hands on those tailed beasts? What are their really planning on? Oh man, I hope Naruto can be a Hokage and still has that Kyuubi inside of him.. He is already sooooo handsome. I hope he and Sakura will be together forever.. Heheheh.. And I also hope that Sasuke won’t touch his hands on Konoha. Unless, of course if he turns good..
@ Mystery. Well if we can believe what we were told earlier, they want the power of the beasts so that they can take over the world. To do that and be the only order in the world they need to destroy the ninja villages, and to do that, they need power, hence the beasts.
I think for sure Naruto will reach his dream and become Hokage!
We definitely need more Sakura X Naruto time.
I think even if Sasuke truly does want to take down the village (something I’m a little dubious about considering his little emotional remembrance of old team last chapter) he may find it more difficult than he thinks it will be.
I’ll discuss why I think that a little more in the next chapter summmary. ^-^
awww mannn… Why does the good get hurt? I mean seriously, first Gaara’s monster got sucked out of him.. Making him monsterless.. That ain’t cool, especially for a Kazekage. Next,Asuma Sensei got killed by Hidan, means leaving Kurenai with a baby.. HIS baby!! After that, Itachi die because Sasuke killed him.. Or at least we think he died. Somehow my feeling says that Itachi is still alive.. Lets hope so. Itachi loves Konoha. He would’nt let Sasuke destroy it ,I bet. After that, Jiraiya Sensei got killed by Pain.. I was sooo sad to see Tsunade’s and Naruto’s face when they heard that their beloved friend or teacher died in a mission.. Why does the good die young?? Huhuhu.. I hope Masashi Sensei got a good ending into all of this…

Well they are ninja, so unfortunately bad things are always going to be happening in their world, whether or not they are good or bad.
It was a horrible thing to happen to Gaara, but its nice to see that he hasn’t let it get him down. If anything he seems more determined than ever to protect his home and those he cares about.
I had at first too thought that maybe Itachi was still alive, we’ll see I guess. We never did see what was done with the body…
But then again it is normal in the ninja world for villages or organizations to retrieve the body of a fallen ninja. Since they don’t want any information that body might contain to fall into the hands of other ninjas.
We know that Pein can possess or inhabit other bodies, so maybe Itachi isn’t alive in the sense he didn’t die, but maybe Pein will make use of Itachi’s body in his attack on Konoha.
Or maybe not, that would be a really stupid move on the part of Madara since I don’t think Sasuke would be too happy about his brother being used in such a way. Unless of course its one final test from Madara to see just where Sasuke’s loyalites really lie.
I’m sure Kishimoto has a good ending worked out, at least I hope he does.
I agree Jiraiya’s death was really sad… again that too for me though was inconclusive. Since he was falling into water at the time and we know he can use Sage techniques which draws from natural energy. Water is full of natural energy, could Jiraiya have used this to help heal himself I wonder?
Then again since the frogs are connected to nature, I guess if he were alive they would feel it.
I wish before he had died though, if he truly thought of Naruto as his grandson, he would have told him that. All these people profess to care so deeply about Naruto but they never tell the guy!
Still I suppose Naruto knew Jiraiya cared since he told him that he was glad he took him on a student.
But hey, have you ever wonder why anyone hasn’t tell Naruto that his father is, you know,the 4th Hokage?? That his mother is also a beautiful ninja from another village? I mean, seriously, why hasn’t there been anyone to tell Naruto about it? What’s the problem with telling him that.? Naruto are getting more complicated than I imagine..
I’ve always wondered about that too. I mean really what is the problem in telling him his heritage.
I wonder if Jiraiya taught him Minato’s signature flash step during his training…
