I watched this because my friend pushed me to do it, and because of this.
HOWEVER, that was one of the weirdest and most confusing episode of anime I’ve ever watched (it’s no where near as weird as Melody of obvilion though, NOTHING can beat random monsters, talking unicorns, carrot knifes, a horn, and a little boy moaning).
My friend tells me that it’s going to get better, I’ll have to see.

I have not seen the anime before, but decided to quickly skim the first episode and… it was very confusing indeed.
I have not heard such a crazy laughter in a while >.> Seriously, was it so difficult to aim correctly?
This dialog was nice
Poor blond girl was crying
However, I did like the music and some scenes looked beautiful
If you want to watch something a little less confusing, you might want to watch Touka Gettan backwards, starting from the third episode from the last (I think the last two episodes were summaries and exposes of what’s going on).
Please don’t watch it backwards, since it wasn’t meant to be watched that way. But it is true that the whole story is told in reverse chronological order: the very first episode is the very last thing that happens in the story. The second episode shows what happened just before that, and so on. Just keep watching with that in mind and things will gradually become clearer. It worked for me…eventually. Very daring concept on the part of the writer (who directed Zettai Shounen and Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou) and the director (they did Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito together before). Mess with your mind, much?
This was the very first role for the voice actress who plays Momoka and sings the ED, Hayami Saori. She was 16 at the time. She went on to play the young priestess Kou-chan in Wagaya no Oinari-sama.
Another interesting thing about this show is that some of the later episodes were written by voice actresses. A couple by Yamamoto Maria, and one excellent one by Noto Mamiko.
I’ll have to watch this as soon as I get home from school. ^^
Couldn’t stand this, but then I heard too that it was supposed to be out of order. Can’t really stand those kinds of series, so good luck!!
I remember this show. The visuals are absolutely amazing! It’s like a movie, not a TV series. Unfortunately, I dropped this after a few episodes. I’m too dumb to understand its unusual chronological order ^_^;.
