This is long overdue. To those who have waited: I apologize.
Our blogroll is ever growing and changing, which is not a bad thing at all – I expected this to happen. What makes it different, is what I believed was going to happen: that each of us would find different sites to read and eventually add them to the list.
However, there are a couple things that I think are a little off here, if I were to use that mentality:
- I underestimate the amount of time I have to go to different sites, and the amount of time the other girls’ have
- I don’t know where to start: there are a BAJILLION blogs out there to visit
So where does the solution come in?
Solution: To be honest (not that I wasn’t before), I will now say explicitly that I am a.. howdoyoutermit.. a “blog whore”?
Anyhow, to say it straight and plain: The basic rule I hold right now is if you add us, we will add you.
Maybe this isn’t the best way to do it, because I haven’t really been in touch with the authors of the blogs and wonderful places – but heck, it’s a start. Of course, that idea of the annotated blogroll is always there. I don’t know for sure yet though, because I feel like we (or well, at least ME), I am not familiar with enough of the blogs and the authors yet to write one.
Getting out of the grimy stuffs – I want to introduce a few of the places in particular:
Otaku Complex
- Run by Asch, who I met recently (a couple of months ago?), Otaku Complex covers a wide range of anime, games, music, and whatever else comes to mind when you think “Japanese media”. Asch is also looking for new writers to help out, so if you’re interested, check out his post (just click the picture), and leave him an email. And even if you aren’t interested in writing, just drop by to check out the blog – it’s only a click away.
VJutsu
- What makes VJutsu so interesting is the fact that it’s NOT a blog, but a forum. Although fairly new, VJutsu, I’m sure, will get big in the future. So check it out! M12 takes on the task of running this place, and his words can sum up what this forum was created for:
VJutsu revolves around multimedia and interactivity. We’re planning to upload audio dramas, run Q&A sessions with our mascot, host gaming sessions, and more. Reading pages upon pages of text? No thanks – let’s get interactive!
So if you’ve got a few minutes to spare, check out these places!

I’m adding these to the reader (don’t think I’ve ever come across these).
In any case, subscribe to my shared notes (and start your own or something!) to filter through the ’sphere at faster rates.
Hey Hoshi, thank you so much for promoting VJutsu! We have tons of multimedia in the works, including a podcast. I’m excited, and we hope everyone can join the madness.
A big cheers again
. I really like coming to Calamitous Intent everyday after work, too
.
Hmm I’ll have to check out the first one. I am a member of Vjutsu, a bad member I know M12 I’m sorry!
Hopefully once mom’s shoulder is a lot better and we aren’t over there so much I’ll have more free time.
Thanks for the free advertising
I am now also looking for a couple of podcasty type people. Now back to work in correcting the poor grammer in my Gundam 00 post – didn’t realise it was that bad – damn hangovers
Ryan noted…
Very straightforward. I happen to keep stuff I read with a short description of why others should read… because most sites are indexed on the aggregators anyway and listing them all is O.o.’s GR Notes…
This has pretty much standard, but many blogger end up ditching it because sites come and go, and thus the links they provide to their readers aren’t valid… I think a lot have taken up a “I read this” attitude.. like it should be. Still, trading links is decent, but you really want to get the authors to read your posts as well [and possibly bump your site in one of their own articles].
And like lelangir said, if you can latch onto some shared notes you will sweep a lot of the sphere pretty easily.
@lelangir: I think I’m going to listen to you and do that VERY VERY soon…
@M12: no problem! I’m sorry that I haven’t been around much, and that it was so late.
@Sakura: Everyone’s just super busy around this time of year, right?
@Asch: goodness. You write when you have hangovers? Interesting. But I hope you get more writers soon!!
@Ryan A: What you’ve said is completely true. But factor in that this is ME we’re talking about, I feel really guilty if I say “no” to those who’ve linked or those who read and visit pretty often. And in addition, if we’ve linked, we get to know others around the sphere better (better for writing an annotated blogroll in the future
). Anyhow, like I’ve written to Lelangir – I think I’m going to take his advice. :]
[...] anyways, when it was revealed their intention to lower the threshold for being included into their blogroll, I couldn’t resist asking the inclusion of my own, and lo and behold, it’s now on it! [...]
