The legs, the legs!

Notice anything weird? If you hadn’t let me tell you, the LEGS. See, CG artists spend their time and effort on the upper half of  a girl when it comes to these paperdolls. In so many instances, the legs are suffering from negligence! This shrunken legs phenomenon can be seen in most visual novels today, and it’s an ugly smear on an artist’s beautiful record. Seriously, they pay so much attention to the legs in h-scenes too, this is so ironic.

However, other than that, moshiraba has gorgeous art. You can totally tell that the backgrounds are photoshopped photos, but they still look really nice. And the characters look adorable too. There’s a good bit of animation, like musical notes floating when a character is humming, or hearts when they are happy, or a puff when they are sighing, or a throbbing vein when they are angry. The characters are totally lovable both story wise and visually. This is going to be a good one, I KNOW it.

Starting Moshimo ashita ga harenaraba

Okay, starting on a new game, [If it's clear weather tomorrow]. It has lush graphics, excellent mix of orchestra and piano for music, and a supposedly heart wrenching and epic plot.

I’ve only played up until the opening video, but I’m liking the characters already. Will this help me break away from my vicious cycle of playing bad games? I hope so (hadn’t gone through a good one since Narcissu Side 2nd, and I’m itching for some tear jerking drama right now).

My short biased review of family project

This is biased A: because I only finished Masumi’s path and Jun’s path and B: because I don’t like slice-of-lifes that aren’t called Aria.

Kazoku Keikaku （released by JastUSA in English a while ago)  is about a bunch of people who don’t really fit into society coming together to live under a single roof. Each has their own past that is trying to resurface, and each holds a different opinion of the world. But the one thing that connects them is that, for the sake of everyone, they are to be a family.

The music is decent but forgettable, the art is decent but forgettable, the programming was done with minimal effort, the voice acting was okay.

The story was much too long. there was an insane amount of time spent on the happy, everyday family moments, which I didn’t care for. Sure, Tsubasa trying to punch Hiroshi is funny the first time, but I really got sick of it. There’s a minimal amount of build up in the excessively long main plot line, and the individual character paths are so short it’s pathetic. After playing, I don’t feel attached to any of the characters, and I’m not going to bother with finishing the 3 other paths because I don’t want to waste another 2 hours skipping through the main storyline.

I don’t care that erogamescape rated it as the greatest visual novel of all time or that people say it’s a tearjerker. As far as I know, Masumi’s path was a complete bore and Jun’s path was between touching and okay. I wish I never tried to waste my time playing this game.

And another thing, my computer has been having problems ever since I started playing this game. I might have to get it formatted again, so don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me for a while.

BL?

Come on, just a little closer and your female readers will be all happy!

Just got caught up to Airgear. In a nutshell, sleeping forest is helping our heros win their tournament battle (the opponents are much stronger than them, of course) so that Ikki can go and help them save Rika-nee, who has been taken by Sora (grr, he really bugs me).

The good: Akito and Agito are working together, both eyes open! Lind is no where to be seen though.

The bad: It’s ANOTHER battle.

The really good: A really cute moment between Ikki and Ringo as he promised to help her, looking all cool~

The really, really good: Kilik. He’s so moe. I love how much he cares about Rika-nee.

P.S.: Family project is boring, but I will charge on. There’s gotta be a reason that everyone’s saying it’s good. Though everyone kept saying that Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na and Symphonic Rain was good, and I was bored by both of them…
