So Sakura continues to proclaim her confession is true and Naruto continues to not believe her. Naruto, Kakashi and Yamato keep to themselves the information Madara gave them and likewise Sakura ends up not telling Naruto that their friends want Sasuke’s head on a stick.
They part ways with Sakura telling her team she wants their help finding Sasuke, meanwhile Samehada takes on a transformation as Kisame takes on Killerbee.
So I seriously have no idea where Kishimoto is going with this whole mess. As annoying as Sakura was when she was younger at least she was pretty easy to read.
Now, its hard to figure out what her intentions are and Kishimoto is absolutely wrecking her character judging by all the hating I’m seeing for her over the internet because of this whole confession debacle.
Does she really agree with the plan to kill Sasuke, is that why she wants to find him?
That’s one theory I’ve heard flying around and to be honest if that is her intention then all her intelligence must have flown out of the window the second Naruto rejected her confession.
If Sasuke can kill Orochimaru, then there is no-way she stands a chance of taking him out.
Even if she could take him out, then she might as well forget her friendship with Naruto, he would NEVER forgive her for taking Sasuke out, especially given how he knows that Sasuke is being manipulated by Madara.
So I can’t see her wanting to take Sasuke out before he and Naruto can fight as her reason for wanting to find the Uchiha.
Which brings me to something else that really pissed me off about the chapter this week. Okay I can understand not telling a whole bunch of people about Madara.
But why the hell couldn’t they tell Sakura what they know? For once I don’t agree with something Kakashi has done, perhaps if he had taken Sakura aside and made her aware of why Naruto still felt he had to continue going after Sasuke, she wouldn’t have made the really stupid decision to do it herself.
Is she going to Sasuke to warn him of Konoha’s plans? That is certainly a possibility, though she does seem quite ardent in her dismissal of her feelings for him in front of Naruto.
Maybe she plans to join Sasuke thinking he’s their best bet for ousting Danzou. At this point who the hell knows.
I expected I wouldn’t really get a resolution out of the whole confession thing, Kishimoto is good at that, but I didn’t expect to be quite this pissed off.
That or this is the 2nd most retarded blog I have ever read, only after that of Lolikitsune’s.
You honestly need to reread the entire manga if you think Sakura is going to kill Sasuke.
You are so off based I don’t even know where to start explaining.
Naruto’s knocked her conscience with his words. She’s going to find Sasuke before Naruto does to be able to deal with the situation better basing on some sort of plan she cooked up with. And if will fail horribly because her words aren’t going to reach Sasuke and she will eventually find out the truth of Sasuke and Sakura’s emotion for Sasuke will likely return and it will be messy from there on.
Even if I don’t know what she plans to do, she’s not there to hunt Sasuke, obviously. She is sorry to Naruto for the lie and deceit, not sorry because she’s going to kill him.
If I was wrong on that, I will forever stop talking about Naruto. (Which sounds like a good thing actually.)
You honestly need to re-read what I posted, I never said I thought Sakura’s plan was to kill Sasuke, I actually refuted that idea myself for its absolute stupidity.
I brought it up because I’d seen a lot of Sakura haters bring it up once they’d read the spoilers and wanted to point out what an idiotic thought that was.
Plus I find it highly unlikely that even if Sakura has started to lose her feelings for Sasuke and is starting to wake up to Naruto that she would go from being in love with Sasuke all that time, to wanting to kill him, that makes no sense at all.
She’s going after him right now because she’s angry and not thinking straight. What she expects when she finds him, if she finds him, I don’t know considering how it went down the last time they met.
God, Sakura, you’re so based. You’re so based that it makes me biased. XP
Here, TNH.
“That’s one theory I’ve heard flying around and to be honest if that is her intention then all her intelligence must have flown out of the window the second Naruto rejected her confession.”
I don’t see any part of that sentence in which Sakura (the blogger, not the character) claims that she thinks Sakura (the character) is gonna go kill Sasuke (the character, not the… wait, there is no blogger). Let’s analyze it step-by-step, shall we?
“That’s one theory I’ve heard flying around…”
Apparently, Sakura didn’t make the theory, she heard it. Said theory is, of course, the one in the previous sentence, where Sakura plans to find Sasuke so she can kill him.
Of course, I find this theory HEAVILY biased towards Kishimoto. Why? Cause it’s like saying that Kishimoto gave Sakura a personality, instead of what he actually did – give her nothing at all to work with. She’s a fucking bland character and has always been ever since the end of the Chuunin Exam arc, but then again, Kishimoto isn’t solely to blame for this – it’s a typical trait of shounen that only a few manga, such as Fairy Tail and One Piece, have managed to avoid. But more on that later, let’s get back to analysis. Which is almost finished, actually.
“… and to be honest if that is her intention then all her intelligence must have flown out of the window the second Naruto rejected her confession.”
Well, the phrase “her intelligence must have flown out of the window” pretty much makes it clear that Sakura (the blogger) does not think well of this theory, nor does she think it likely. She then goes on to list reasons for why this is a stupid thing. Like, Sasuke > Orochimaru and Orochimaru > Sakura and thus Sasuke > Sakura.
All things considered, it is a wonder how you arrive at the conclusion that this blog is the second-most retarded blog you’ve ever read.
Too long; didn’t read?
Don’t go fucking calling things retarded until you get your fucking facts right. Who do you think you are, Fox News?
See, now that was bias right there. I was so biased I don’t even know where to start explaining the depths of which I am baised toward my biased explanation… I have no idea where I’m going with this.
Sakura has merely prioritized, that’s all. Sasuke was hurting both her and Naruto by just being himself as Sai’s revelation showed her. Sakura apparently is on the side of the village now, but her reasoning is different. She wants to deal with Sasuke to protect Naruto, not because Sasuke is merely a threat, if it didn’t spill over to Naruto she would probably still want to save him. But since Sasuke is a threat to Naruto, she places Naruto’s safety over the cost of loosing him to Sasuke. Which is line with her confession personally.
Who knows, maybe i’m wrong.
I’m just basing my assumptions around Sakura truly loving Naruto, and because of that, being unwilling to cause Naruto more pain by having Sasuke continue to murk up their lives with his very presence.
That line of reasoning makes a lot of sense, except for the fact I can’t see Sakura being stupid enough to think she and her little squad can take Sasuke down.
As strong as she has gotten, there is no way she is strong enough to do so and she must know that.
Yeah, but she’ll do it anyway. Because she has some strong feelings for Naruto and she has obviously failed with the confession.
I guess she realized there’s not enough time to get some serious backup so she decided to act (not mentioning to get some serious intellect as well).
So in order to be a proper Japanese girl putting her loved-ones in front of herself, she will try to do something about it (I guess cry Sasuke a river…)
Well it’s just that maybe sakura doesn’t know how strong he’s gotten
I’ve already read past and not to be a spoiler or anything but she doesn’t kill sasuke she confronts him alone and naruto rescue her on the Nick of time.
She manages to take out sai kiba and
lee with a smokebomb filled with a sleeping potion
Well I hope she actually has a plan, because so far it just seems like she’s being stupid and letting her emotions rule her actions.
Then again, that always seems to work for Naruto XD
Whew… that was intense. Not the chapter – just the reactions from it.
First off, Sakura, your summary is first rate. Thanks.
OK. let’s figure out what DID NOT happen in this chapter that could have.
1) Naruto gave Sakura and openning to back down, she did not. In fact, she doubled down on her confession and her “rejection” (wrong word I know but I’m in a hurry) of sasuke.
2) Naruto could have completely rejected the confession, by saying he didn’t love Sakura. He did not. That, in fact, is affirmation enough. Had that happened, then we’d've heard cheers from the NaruHina folk.
SO… the questions remains, why is Sakura continuing to search for Sasuke? In this instance, I’d have to agree with Inuhanyou. She’s starting to gain the wisdom that Tsunade already had when the latter became hokage. She’s starting to think about the Village. Her search for Sasuke isn’t to take him down, it’s an attempt to make Naruto safe.. how
1) By softening Sasuke up before Naruto gets there?
2) perhaps she thinks Sasuke’s gonna take it easy on her – and that might allow her to do more damage to him?
3) By knowing where Sasuke is, she might be able to lead Naruto off the trail without really confronting Sasuke (that’s a Shikamaru-type deception).
… OR… given Shikamaru’s prowess… might he have anticipated Sakura’s confession+Naruto’s response+Sakura’s reaction+??? = Trap for Sasuke?
I’m certain y’all will enjoy the ride regardless. I know I will.
Why thank you
Yep it did get a little heated in here, but I don’t think anything was meant maliciously, I certainly didn’t take it that way.
Its good to be passionate in your responses everyone, just try not to be cruel!
1) Yeah the fact she didn’t back down is encouraging for her feelings being somewhat genuine.
Although at this point I don’t think anyone will disagree with the idea she has feelings for Naruto, its just to what degree she feels for him.
2) Absolutely true, he dissected and rejected her feelings, he didn’t retract his feelings.
As for why she’s looking for Sasuke.
1) A possibility, but talking to him didn’t work very well before. I think being able to get through to him is going to depend on whether or not this crusade of his is real.
I mean I totally believe he wants Danzou and the Elders dead, hell I’ll cheer him on for culling the worthless bunch. But I wonder if his proclamations of total revenge against the entire village are really his true feelings, or if he’s playing the same role Itachi did and acting to get Madara to believe those are his intentions.
If its the former, then Sakura is going to have her work cut out for her trying to get him to see sense.
2) Again given their past confrontation I don’t know why she thinks Sasuke would go easy on her. But maybe as you said her plan isn’t to kill him, but just to slow him down and delay the confrontation between Naruto and himself.
3)With Shika, you can never be certain
BTW: too bad you didn’t hit 100 comments last week. Perhaps this week you might. BUT DON’T YOU DARE TROLL… that’s just wrong.
Thanks, to be honest I don’t get the impression this post is going to garner as many responses and I’m okay with that.
Quality over quantity any day, your comment being a great example
@ maggeh When reading your reply I realize just how confusing it is when I make posts on Naruto about Sakura XD
Oh and also ((HUG)) (Note it took all my willpower not to post a smilie after that hug, I know how much you hate them. You see how considerate I am!)
Unless you speak in third person, ain’t that confusing. XD
Think how annoying it would be if you blogged in third person. Just take this blog post and replaced every I with Sakura, every me with Sakura and change grammar accordingly.
IT WOULD BE FUCKING HECTIC. 8D
LOL luckily for everyone’s poor brain’s I only do that with my own name.
Hubby is very used to hearing “Ooooh D.J wants!”
Come on, Naruto! When you’re done with Sasuke, just save Sakura’s life at least one more time!
…We can’t wait to see what will happen afterwards…
Hmm you know maybe that is what Sakura is planning. She knows that going after Sasuke is practically a suicide mission, but maybe that is what she wants.
Thinking that if Sasuke were to attack her, like he did in the past, it will finally wake Naruto up to the idea that Sasuke is beyond Redemption.
I would hope Kishimoto doesn’t have plans to kill Sakura off for the sake of plot advancement. It would just seem like a waste of all her growth as a ninja.
That is a very good point and I think it worked
I hope everyone reads my post on 469 and replies on their opinion
Where is this post.
On the Sakura’s confession bit.
What? Why will he want to help Sasuke when he knows that his heart is not pure. Naruto may be losing his mind this time.
I guess Naruto still can’t get past their bond of friendship.
