Nabari no Ou 15 + 16

Due to my extreme laziness last week, I’ll be covering two episodes of Nabari this week. Plot-wise, both Banten and Kairoushuu make it out unscathed, the Kairoushuu having obtained the kinjutsu scroll Daya. After reading little bits and excerpts of the manga, I think this Kouga arc has been a little rushed. However, maybe they need to rush, as there are ten episodes left. Hopefully this series will end with the same blast as it has started out with.

Nabari no Ou 13 [Nemuranai Manabiya]

As we pass the half-way point of Nabari no Ou with episode 13, I’m starting to notice a subtle motif that I’ve never really paid attention to. Nabari no Ou 12 [Ishi]

Blogging two series in one night is definitely not my style. However, I like to blog right after I watch the episode and the fact remains that even though Nabari airs two days before Macross Frontier does, the subs for Nabari come out around the same time as the MF subs. (I’m not going to harp on how fast subs come out, because I say my thanks that there even are fansubbers.)

I’ll try to keep this post short, but to say it straightforwardly, I’m disappointed. Partly because after seeing such a good episode of Macross, I have to see such a bad episode of Nabari. Nabari no Ou started off with a blast, but lately it’s becoming slow, and needless to say, boring. For the last few episodes everything seems to be at a standstill. Please don’t take my criticisms hard if you’re a die-hard Nabari fan, because in the end, I’ll still love Nabari. Just right now, the direction Nabari is taking makes me give my cynical reasons…

Nabari no Ou 11 [Kaaten Kooru]

I think I’ve always been impressed by Raikou’s hair. He gets points for it, cause pink hair is hot. Somewhere along the line he must’ve dyed it cause it’s supposed to be dirty blonde… I’m thinking about doing pink streaks, cause green’s the only color I’ve ever done. Come to think of it, I’ve never seen any guys with pink hair…

Anyways, this week’s episode focuses more on the relationship between Raikou and Raimei. Sadly, even though I was hoping for maybe a little romance between the two, they are siblings, thus leading me to root for the Raimei and Kouichi pairing.

Nabari no Ou 9 [Zensou kyoku]

Are my BL sensors telling me to look at Yoite and Rokujo in a different manner this episode? Especially the scenes and lines from Miharu and Yoite: “I will use the Shinrabanshou and save Yoite” and “I need to hurry and see Miharu”. Even their relationship is stressed in the OP and ED… (I can somehow see the rise of Yoite x Miharu fanfics in the future.) Unfortunately, fangirls, I prefer NOT to see this. (My god, my impression and love for Nabari will be soured.) It somehow just disturbs me. Even though I like BL pairings, I’d rather stay with getting my BL fix from watching Junjou.

I’m not writing an episode summary. Cause if you need an accurate one, run over to Random Curiosity. (Divine always has the most accurate summaries.) What drives me to write this post is the fact that I’m curious about the secrets that the main characters seem to be hiding. I can accept Miharu as different, cause he doesn’t remember any memories from the past. Let’s take a peek at our main crew…
