Aww little Sasu-chan, he was so cute before he became so bloodthirsty and homicidal. Itachi does have to take some of the blame for him turning out that way. But I guess he figured tough love was the best way.
Well it did work in that it made Sasuke ridiculously powerful, but as old Uncle Ben likes to remind us, “With great power, comes great responsibility.” Sadly that is one lesson Sasuke hasn’t learned.
Seeing the above image in this weeks chapter just makes me sad that Sasuke hasn’t learned that lesson and that he is ignoring the wishes of the brother who sacrificed so much, to stick to that promise of protecting him in the only way he knew how.
Really the last few chapters have been an enjoyable read. Its nice to finally get the actual details of Naruto’s parents and the attack of the kyuubi, it further makes you adore Naruto all the more.
Sasuke likes to constantly throw out at Naruto that he can’t know his pain, because he lost his parents before he was born. No, Naruto doesn’t know that pain, but having parents who died before he was born is another kind of pain in itself, he does know pain.
He could argue that Sasuke was luckier than he to have had parents in the first place, to have been able to experience family at all, since it was all taken from him before he could even taste it.
Poor Naruto had to grow up unloved and shunned by the village despite his illustrious parentage. He should be treated with love and care considering he’s the offspring of their most beloved Hokage and yet his upbringing had virtually none of that.
It shows his strength of character, that despite that, he overcame it. He didn’t let the pain and bitterness and hatred consume him, he rose above it and is a better person than Sasuke because of it.
Oh yea and since he takes after his dad in looks, he is gonna be smoking hawt when he gets older 😉 I think he may even earn himself a bigger fanclub than Sasuke.
Hopefully he picks up his old man’s sharp intelligence as he grows too. Though Naruto has always shown flashes of that during fights, remember who came up with the plan against Zabuza!
The flash back further proves what we’ve already suspected, Naruto is going to have to learn his fathers flash jump technique in order to defeat Madara.
Minato employs it against the old Uchiha to great affect, using his kunai to place himself behind Madara in order to attack him, since he figured out that Madara has to remain solid when he attacks.
For once I’m actually enjoying one of these flashback fights. Its nice to see the Yondaime in action to get a glimpse of the man Naruto is well on his way to becoming.
