  1. Maybe it because I watch to much anime, but now it just looks so odd seeing it with real live actors. Also everyone looks way too young and smooth. Aren’t some of them supposed to be rugged/rogue handsome?

    • I’m sure a lot will take getting used to, since the anime is foremost in our memories. Kaoru is supposed to be a young girl and Kenshin was always portrayed as looking younger than he was. So I’m okay with the smoothness on that score, though they do look like they’ve made Sano more rugged.

  2. Hey Choux, since we’re on the topic of movies.

Ookami kodomo no Ame to Yuki, you got to watch it. I want to hear your opinions on it. It’s the third movie by the guy who directed Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars. It was quite different than the previous two though, not spoiling it, but going in the theatres with an open mind and you might end up coming out surprised just how good it is.

Was definitely the best movie I have seen in years, anime or not, absolutely classic. (Personally I think we found the next generation Miyazaki, and he definitely utterly beat Miyazaki in directing movies.) A movie that plays itself out with little amount of script, shows the scenes through music and art is far more enjoyable and greater achievement in terms of anime movie than anything else.
